Passion fruit and pineapple. Delicate herbal aromas. Refreshing acidity.
Vineyard
Blend: Chenin Blanc (63%), Grenache Blanc (22%), Roussanne (15%).
Block profile: All varieties grown together on the banks of the Franschhoek River. Sandy alluvial soils. Focus on sustainability and soil health with cover crops, mulching, manure and weeding by hand.
Block size: 1ha
Yield: 10 tonnes per ha
Vines planted: 2015
Winemaking
All three varietals picked by hand from the same block on one morning. Fruit was de-stemmed and then co-fermented in steel tank.
